Faith in Many Forms

Faith in Many Forms

Scrolling through my Instagram, I saw a typical step-out-in-faith post and in a split second assumed it’s more for encouraging people who are taking big steps of faith, like going into the missions field.

However, a nudge inside me made me wonder if this word was for me at that moment too. I was contemplating which school to send my younger daughter to –  one that resonates better with my spirit but logistically challenging, or another that’s not too bad and much easier on our current logistics. Yet, could it be God asking me to choose in faith and trust Him to work out the logistics?

Later, God was kind enough to make my decision easier (through certain incidents and people) after I decided to take that step of faith but haven’t yet sealed the deal. It’s comforting to know God gently guides us even in such cases. Faith is needed in “non-spiritual” or worldly decisions, regardless of how big or small. Faith is also in our ‘No’. There’s that window of opportunity but it just doesn’t sit well with our spirit. Hence, faith is needed in saying no, knowing it will shut that window.

What’s the step of faith you need to take today? And when you step out, take heart, He will make everything beautiful in His time.

‭Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord!

Psalm 31:24
